Foster Agreement - Russell Rescue TN

You must agree to the following conditions before signing Russell Rescue's Foster Contract.

1. If you choose to adopt your foster, the adoption fee is $300 per dog. If the pet is returned after adoption, the full $300 per dog will be considered a donation to Russell Rescue. Note: if the adoption fee is paid by PayPal, then an $8.00 non-refundable processing fee will be added. *

2. Should I choose to not continue fostering the dog, I will provide Russell Rescue with a full 1 week notice so that there is ample time to find a new foster home for the dog. *

3. Russell Rescue requires the use of a harness on every dog. *

4. If my application is not approved, I will return the dog to Russell Rescue. Failure to do so is considered theft of property under Tennessee law. *

5. If I choose to adopt my foster, I must take my potential dog to a veterinarian for a wellness visit. This will be at my expense and is NOT reimbursable. *

6. I must give my foster/adopted pet monthly heartworm prevention and flea protection. *

7. I must take my foster/adopted pet to a veterinarian for yearly vaccines. *

I agree with this statement.

8. My foster/adopted dog must be an indoor pet with outdoor privileges (except in special circumstances approved by Russell Rescue). *

9. If I do not have a fenced yard, I must leash walk my foster/adopted pet. *

10. If I feel I need to re-home my foster/adopted pet, I must contact Russell Rescue immediately for advice or to return the pet to Russell Rescue . I agree to NOT SURRENDER my foster/adopted pet to a shelter or post my pet on Craiglist, etc. *

11. If there is a medical/financial problem and/or emergency with my foster/adopted pet, please contact Russell Rescue as soon as possible for advice. *

12. I must keep an ID on my pet at all times. If my foster/adopted pet is missing or stolen, please contact Russell Rescue ASAP and utilize all resources to locate my pet. Russell Rescue is not responsible for contacting me if my pet has been found and returned to the rescue. *

13. Should I need to return the dog, for whatever reason, I will be responsible for a safe and timely return to a place designated by Russell Rescue.

14. I agree that the Russell Rescue dog must have an ID tag and harness on at all times. When transporting the dog, It must have a leash connected, and be in a crate or seat buckle at all times. I will keep the dog secure at all times including transferring the dog from the vehicle.
